Econtrol®dyeing process

Econtrol® was developed specifically for reactive dyestuffs – in response to the trend towards smaller batch sizes and the desire for simpler processes in continuous dyeing. The process has established itself internationally as a reliable solution.

Econtrol® is a registered trademark of DyStar Colours Distribution GmbH, Germany.

Econtrol®

Dyeing with reactive dyestuffs

Econtrol® is a simple, fast and economical single-step dyeing process for reactive dyestuffs – at process temperatures of 120 to 130 °C, with a controlled humidity content of the circulating air of 25 to 30% by volume and a dwell time of only 2 to 3 minutes.

The advantages at a glance:

  • Ideally suited for dyeing short or long batches
  • All colours can be selected
  • Excellent colour reproducibility
  • No risk of yellowing in cellulose fabrics due to low fixing temperature. This also allows light colours to be used.
  • No urea – no fume development – no deposits
  • No salt (easy to wash out)
  • Immediate colour assessment
  • Precise, easy and quick laboratory settings
  • No dwell time required, no Moiré effects
  • No migration due to fast fixing
  • Moisture control
  • No crushing of pile fabrics (e.g. corduroy)
  • Better penetration even of difficult items thanks to the controlled chamber climate during the dyeing process
  • Energy savings thanks to optimum moisture content of the process air
  • Ideal process for frequent batch changes

Econtrol® T-CA

Single-bath dyeing of PES/CO

Econtrol® T-CA is the innovative continuous dyeing process for PES/CO fabrics – using selected reactive and disperse dyestuffs in a single process step, based on the pad-Econtrol-thermosol process – completely without reductive intermediate cleaning. That allows you to save a significant amount of chemicals, water, energy and time.

The advantages at a glance:

  • No steamer required
  • Low chemical consumption (up to –86%*)
  • Low energy consumption (up to –49%*)
  • Low water consumption (up to –63%*)
  • Lower investment costs
  • Less personnel required
  • Good fabric colour-fastness
  • Very simple process
  • Very low costs
  • Ecological advantages
